The purpose of the education received by our children is to replace an empty mind with an open one. With this objective, I on behalf of the entire Dhakuakhana College Family, welcome all the imaginations and express my gratitude to the parents who have put their faith in us to discover, create and convert this imagination into a knowledge system. This brings with it tremendous responsibilities and I assure you that we are doing our best to live up to your trust in us. As a 21st Century Institution, Dhakuakhana College that came up as a pioneer in Higher Education and Academic Excellence in 1966, desires to set an approach to create fertile ground for effective synergies between research and teaching skills, nurturing and fostering critical thinking and problem solving among students that becomes a lifetime habit. We explore the possibilities in every student, hone their skills and make them capable to pursue worthy goals in the service of the nation and humanity, as I firmly believe that a holistic development is the only answer to tide over the emerging challenges and difficulties posed by uncertainties of the present time.

The world is undergoing rapid changes in the knowledge landscape. India too is going to implement the New Education Policy that aims “to have an education system by 2040 that is second to none, with equitable access to the highest-quality education for all learners regardless of social or economic background”. I believe in upholding high standards with an absolute commitment to strive to understand and improve the education process and as such being one of the pioneer institutes within the locality, we pay immense attention to cope up with the challenges that have been brewing in the existing educational policy and also how the stakeholders can cope up with the new paradigm as envisaged by the New Education Policy 2020.
As the focus of the institution is not only on ‘what is taught’ but also on ‘the way it is taught’, we pride ourselves on the highly competent and dedicated teaching faculties who strive hard to implement the vision and mission of the college at par with the requirement of the region and the nation. We follow “mentor system” under which each class is put into the multi-pronged web of a teacher. We accord prime importance to the behavioural discipline, moral integrity and cognitive developments of our students. We care for the mind as Dhakuakhana College is a sterling academic institution; we care for the person as the emphasis is on the all-round development of personality.
